It's official... the Marin IJ published an article on December 27th about the $450,000 in funding being released to start the planning for the restoration.  Half of that funding comes from the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and half from a special fund from the Marin Municipal Water District.  Once the 18-month planning phase is complete, there will be a list of options made available for restoration.  The GGNPC will then fund-raise from private and corporate sources to develop the resources necessary to complete the restoration.
